On January 18, QBPC Chair Michael Ding had an online meeting with Assistant Attaché Shawn Harwood, Representative Adam Jefferson and Local Investigator Helen Zhang from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).
Shawn Harwood briefly reviewed the historical collaborations between HSI and QBPC as well as commending the work done by QBPC, especially in terms of bringing member companies together to identify trends and issues and then engaging with Chinese government. He expressed his willingness to continuously strengthen the interaction with QBPC.
Michael Ding provided a detailed overview about QBPC’s history, organizational structure, work priorities and prominent projects.
The two sides discussed recent IP protection trend and potential collaboration opportunities in the near future.
