    Hangzhou Customs IPR Protection Training
     
     
    Dear members,
     
    Following the Exchange meetings with QBPC in Jan, GACC officially initiates its Special Operation in the postal & courier channel focusing on consumer electronics products in March, 2013. To assist China Customs in effectively protecting members IPR, QBPC Customs Committee will co-organize a series of trainings with hot customs authorities in coming weeks, as the first stop, a one-day capacity building workshop with Hangzhou Customs has been scheduled on April 11- 12 in Hangzhou with a focus on enforcement in postal & courier channel.
     
    Around 40 officials from Hangzhou Customs will participate in the event. The training will be designed for brand owners to introduce key trademarks/products that are part of their Customs recordal and to share information to support basic risk analysis for targeting shipments of infringing goods. There will be a focus on information sharing and receiving feedback from Customs officers.
     
    ¯  On-line Registration
    Interested members please register for the training by COB March 5th, 2013.
     
    Members from relevant industries focused by the Special Operation will be given the priority for registering this training.

    ¯  Presentation PPTs
    Based on the preliminary discussion with Hangzhou Customs, presentations for this training should be specific to brands, products, and risk analysis directly related to shipments from or affecting Hangzhou Customs, and should only be for trademarks which have been included in the Customs recordal.
     
    Other points that need to be taken into consideration in the presentation include:
     
    1) Less time shall be spent on the history and background of the company and brands during the presentation;
    2) Introduction on the products of your company, best practice sharing, difficulties in case investigation and risk analyses are encouraged.
     
    Interested members please prepare your presentation PPT and send it to Summer Gao at summergao@qbpc.org.cn no later than March 31st. Meeting Agenda will be sent to all registered members once all the details are settled.
     
    ¯  Sample Exhibition
    Hangzhou Customs will provide an exhibition area for QBPC members to display sample products, and the contact & delivery details will be provided to you soon.
