On August 26, the 4th International Business Intellectual Property Forum, hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Chengdu Municipal People's Government, was held in Beijing and Chengdu. With the theme of "Intellectual Property Empowers High-Quality Development", the forum set its keynote speeches and panel discussions around three topics - “Intellectual Property Protection and Business Environment”, “Digital Economy and Intellectual Property Protection” and “International IP Dispute Resolution”.

Ji Ying, Vice Chair of the Quality Brands Protection Committee of China Association of Enterprise with Foreign Investment (QBPC), gave a speech in the panel discussion of Intellectual Property Protection and Business Environment. She introduced the mission, organizational structure, and work of the QBPC, and shared her opinions on China’s business environment from the perspective of the QBPC and the right holders. According to her, the IP business environment in China was greatly improved during the past two decades with many policies introduced which aimed at encouraging innovation. Meanwhile there remained some challenges, such as trade secret protection, internet infringement, malicious trademark registration, and so on. She hoped that all parties would continue the joint efforts to achieve an even better business environment in the near future.
